Whenever you think of toothpaste, chances are good that you also have the Colgate brand in your mind. The famous company (nowadays called the Colgate – Palmolive Company) was founded already back in 1806, although they didn’t sell dental products until 1873 when they first introduced a toothpaste. Today Colgate – Palmolive is a huge multinational company with a vast range of products. For us, it’s their teeth whitening products that are of interest.
Let’s start with Colgate whitening toothpaste. These are their most highly rated ones:
Product Image Product Name Price ($/oz) Rating
Colgate Total Advanced Whitening Paste Colgate Total Advanced Whitening .65 4.0
Colgate Total Whitening Paste Colgate Total Whitening .83 4.5
Colgate Optic White Colgate Optic White .72 4.2
Colgate MaxWhite Colgate MaxWhite .66 3.8
Ultra Brite Advanced Whitening Ultra Brite Advanced Whitening .83 4.5
Apart from the ones above, they have a couple of more toothpastes that also are effective (“Luminous”, “Sparkling White” and “Tartar Protection with Whitening”). But since they have very few customer reviews I chose to leave them out. As you can see, there are a lot of Colgate whitening toothpastes to choose from, which can make the selection process feel overwhelming. But don’t worry, Colgate products are generally considered to be among the absolute best on the market so you won’t go wrong with any of the above pastes.

For other Colgate teeth whitening products, there is not much to chose from. For example, there are no Colgate whitening strips on the market! Quite surprising, considering how popular strips have become.
But they do have their Optic White Mouthwash and also an interesting 2-in-1 product called Icy Blast, which is both a toothpaste and a mouthwash. Icy Blast has received high ratings (4.6) and is definitely worth a try.

What else? Not much, but I managed to find a special gel (image on the left) that’s being sold at Amazon but that is currently not mentioned on Colgate’s website. You can find more information about it – such as pricing, rating, reviews – by clicking the image. It’s the same kind of gel used in teeth whitening kits, so if you buy it, you also have to buy trays. Preferably custom fitted trays since those give better results. Syringes are included though.
Considering Colgate’s expertise, customer satisfaction and 200 year track record , I’m sure you will be happy with whatever of their products you choose. Good luck!
